brake lights not working checked everything.

hey last night I found ut my brake lights arent working, Im pretty sure it just happened last night, I checked every fuse and the one for the stop light was hot and a bit bent(but not snapped yet) any way I replaced it but still had no luck, I checked the bulbs there fine(on both sides) Is there anything else I can check? also the parking lights still work just no brake lights, also everything else in the car is working as far as I know.
I found a few people with this problem when I searched but they all were fuses and bulb issues, which I think I alreay ruled out.

check the wiring in the trunk. When you took off your stock spoiler what did u do with the wire. Maybe you have something like a short. Something probably isn't completing the circuit. Good luck.

cant be the spoiler

when I took the stock one off I just disconected it from the harness on the trunk lid, and that is still the way its been since january. Also if this help to diagnos the problem

when I pulled the fuse the gauge lights went out (like they normally do when the brake lights are out. but they still worked when the fuse was in. like I said the fuse was kinda hot and looked bent but it wasnt blown and it was the right size.

Right now Im just turning on my headlights so the back lights go on when I brake, but I cant do that at night time and its also a real pain in the .***

UPDATE

okay I went back out to my car to check all the fuses one more time,
the 15amp fuse for the stop lights looked fine, but out of curiosity I put a 10 in there, and it worked, but one of the lights was out, so I jiggled the bulb a bit and got them all on. so I said mabey the bulbs just got loose, so I put the 15 back in and nothing, so I thought mabey the fuse is defective, so I tried another 15 amp fuse from the fogs (which I know worked) still nothing. put the 10 back in and it worked. what the heck is going on here? and Ive had my brake lights on (with the help of a brick)for about 10 minutes and the 10 amp is still in and the lights are still on. put the 15 back in again, nothing, then the 10 and it worked.
