left side lowbeam out, ok no big deal. i get new bulb but low beam is still out and hi beam works. i check the fuses and they are all fine. i check the plug connector with a volt meter and the voltage in each of the three prongs equal with the right side which works. ok, the bulb works( i tried it on the right) the bulb is getting proper voltage, the prongs arent bent as far is i can tell. fuses fine, WHAT THE HELL!

Connector is getting voltage but have you tried hooking the voltmeter to the plug where the bulb socket is? ie.. w/ the harness connector connected but w/ no bulb. Check if voltage is getting into the bulb socket.

same thing happened with my other car, not a maxima, but when i brought it to the mechanic, he gave me a new socket in the back of the headlight, works fine now, cheap enough too
