10W 40 OK? on 92 GXE

Just changed the oil on my 92 GXE. I used 10W 40. I received my Chilton's today and it said 20W 50 or 10W 30. Any thoughts?

thanks

I think 5W-30 is the recomended weight, but 10W-40 will work fine for 3,000 miles. If you put SAE-90 in then you might have some problems
