Are there any differences in the sound between the VG and VE when you start it up? I've heard the VG's before and I think they sound pretty sweet when you start it up. I have never heard a VE before and I was wondering if there are any differences.

Thier might be more ticking in the VE at start up, but don't think you'll notice much difference till you get towards the other end of the tach.

starter noise?

what do you mean startup noise? you mean the way the starter sounds? I think my VE starter sounds pretty classy. Very fast 'chirp chirp chirp' :-D

My VE doesn't tick anymore ;-)
