i'm hearing like a sqeekin sound comin from both front wheels i was wondering if it could be if the brake pads were shot or something?..i got the car 7k miles ago and i dunno when the last owner had em done...is this a job that can be done at home and if so how much would it run (at home / shop) and where can i get the parts...thnx..dis sqeekin is gettin worse and worse and is ****in me off more and more..thnx

Take your wheels off and look at the damn pads, or do you expect us to come do that for you too?
When you press the brakes and you hear a squeaking noise, do you think it could be anything other than your damn brakes?

if you have to ask questions like that, I would question if you have the ability to do the brakes yourself.
brakes aren't something to "try" at home unless you know what you're doing. screw it up and you can kill someone, or multiple someones when you get to the end of the street and have no brakes.

If the squeaking is coming from the front wheels, it is more than likely your brakes. This can be done at home, with experience in under a half hour, without experience, a little over an hour. Tools needed include either a 15mm or a 17mm socket (or even wrenches, or an adjustable wrench), something to press the caliper back in with (I use big C-Clamps) and a jackstand (plus whatever necessary to get the wheels off) First, block off the opposite rear wheel, loosen the lugnuts of front wheel to be worked on. Open hood of car. Jack up the car, install jackstand. Take off lugs, remove wheel. Loosen lid from brake fluid reservoir, but do not remove (this will keep the fluid from splashing out the top when you press the caliper back in). Remove the two bolts that are on the backside of the caliper, one at the top, one at the bottom. Slide off caliper. Remove old brake pads, using clamp of some kind (Once I used a pipe wrench since I forgot the C-clamp at work) press the caliper all the way in, being careful not to tear the boot! Install new pads, replace bolts, put on and secure tire, lower car, do other side. When removing the caliper from the assembly NEVER let the caliper hang by the brake line. When you are done be sure and put the brake fluid reservoir cap back on tight.
My front pads ran me $40.00 from a local store, they were PBR pads. While you are under there, check the thickness of your rotors, and be sure that they do not need to be replaced either.
