distributor upgrade?
you can get an MSD, those are reliable and are trusted in high horsepower (wheely capable dragsters, etc) cars, also they just last a long time and are good quality.

they don't make anything for our car....MSD only has 4cyl caps(with the raised coil tower) for Honda and various others for big V8's.....

and small V8s and I think they did one for the chevy v6, i know because my friend had it on his, it was bored and honed to 252cu in. it was his first restore, he was 13 and it was a recovered stolen buick regal, with 2 spun rod bearings due to 65mph+ 2nd gear highway runs.

Here is a link to Jacobselectronics. I put his system in my warmed over 85 VW Scirocco, and it worked wonders. It started averytime I turned the igniiton, even after sitting at the top of Mt. Hood. My car had racing cams, high compression pistons, etc, etc. The only problem Ihad is that if I didn't replace the spark plugs at regular intervals, I would hear arcing under the hood. At that time I would take out the plugs, both the electrodes would be GONE, and the spark would still be igniting the fuel. I didn't even notice any less performance, just chagned the plugs since it wasn't a good idea having the spark bounce off the top of the piston.
