Want to share Keyless Entry Installation

This weekend, I bought the crime guard REC-11 from cruthcfield It's a keyless entry system with starter disable and a third channel output for the trunk or what ever you like. The installation went smoothly thanks to the manuals you get with the order. I was able to connect the REC-11 so that the OEM alarm would get arm after i had lock the doors with the remote. My problem was when I unlock the doors from the remote, the OEM alarm would trigger, thinking somebody had broken in or something. So what I did was bought a relay and connected the unlock wire from the vehicle, the OEM alarm disarm wire, 12 Volts (+), and ground. This way, when the doors unlock from the remote, the OEM alarm disarms too.

you also could have just used a diode instead of the relay, then you dont have to wire it to the +12 and ground but no big deal

glad you got it working
