Strut decisions... Advice?
Hey folks,
Thanks for all your previous help. People in here are a wealth of info. Ok, **** kissing out of the way.
Decisions on either Monroe Sensortrak's @ $121.10ea or Tokico's @ $100.77ea.
Doing the rears too. Will probably get springs as well. Eibach.
Thanks again!

K-Mart brand of the shock industry. That's why they are cheap. You'll get alot less miles from the KYB's than the Monroes.
I been going to this guy for over a decade and he hasn't done me wrong so...
Good luck,

Well i suggest you do a SEARCH and see what people say about the struts. im not saying KYB is the best im just saying some people say they are just as good as the tokico! like i said do a SEARCH!!! See what everyone says about the struts....and monroe is NOT what you want if you are lowering your car!!! Monroe is cheap (IMO)!!!
Also craig brace has eibach and kyb...ask him what he thinks of his set up!!

yeah, I have eibachs and KYB GR-2s. I got the KYBs from www.eatricezone.com , that site is run by another .org guy - Phuong (got rice?) and he's pretty cool
the handling is very nice, like all aftermarket setups, it is a little bit more harsh on the bumps, but not that bad. I drive through downtown Atlanta a lot with some really crappy roads and it's not a problem. After about a week of the new suspension, you get used to the increased stiffness and dont even notice the bumps anymore.
I defintely recommend this setup, hopefully it'll last for a while (that's what most people's concerns were with the KYBs). I've had it for probably 6 months or so and no problems with it.

I've had teh tokico's on my car with eibach springs for a about 14 months. At about 10 months I got a sudden softening. Now they are about 55% of what they were on day one. I'm hoping that they last the year.
I wish I had spent the extra 25% on Koni...
The rear set has always seemed soft, and mine have that notorious clunking sound too.
send me a message if you have more questions.

i was told to get the cheap struts unless i want to get the car lowered too? is that true? is the performance and lasting stiffness the same with wither, for example, kyb's than the less expensive stuff? i wanna say no but i have no idea.
