I wish I was ready to sell my MEVI to you to help you out, but I won't be putting it up for sale until I'm ready to do the 3.5 swap which may be a while.

Maxima_kid is selling the full 00vi setup for $300 shipped. You'll need an rpm switch and an IACV adapter plate from stephen max but otherwise it's a great price. PM and see what exactly he has. Be quick I know someone else wanted it. You won't really find a better deal than that.

Ethnic6,
00VI has been proven by dyno to be superior to MEVI, but much harder to install. There are many minor modifications that have to be done to make it work. I invested probably 30+ hours in my install, but could not be happier that I did. I doubt very many people are going to spoon feed you the information, as many of us invested in the fee to search and did all the work ourselves.
I did do a complete writeup of my install using the 4th gen lower intake manifold and 00 throttle body, rear valve cover, and rear coils. If you want the writeup, there would be a small fee.

ethnic6- start by searching 00VI and not oovi. oovi does not exist. 2000 Variable Intake manifold does however.

Has anyone else taken the time to write it all up to the n'th detail? You sit down and write it up and see if you feel like giving it away to every noob who doesn't want to do the work. And when I say small fee, I'm talking about donating to the .org if he has not already done so.

I've freely and openly shared everything i thought could be useful to anyone willing to read it, I dont dangle it over anyones head.
I understand not spoon feeding but if you've already got it written up, what is a little copy paste gonna hurt?
and donating to the org...okay...?

Believe me, I've been on here for a while searching, researching, and posting what I've learned. I considered posting my writeup a while ago, but not many people ask about 00VI anymore and it's an 8 page document, so I'm not going to copy paste here. There certainly are people out there who would be willing to invest in the org, but not willing to spend the time doing the searches and sorting through the masses of threads trying to pull out what they need to know. That's where I'm coming from.

Hi all, I would have posted my own topic, however for some reason this forum wont let me. I am also looking at getting a MEVI.
If anyone has any offers, send me a PM and i'll come to an arrangement.
Cheers!

it's a hot item. Lots of reasons my guess. People swapping 3.5's. Parting out engines, basically just don't want them or need them at the time is my guess.
All the parts depend where you go and who's selling them. It can range in price. Go search around.

Ethnic6, check salvage yards or do a search here for the throttle body, if you're using the 5th gen injectors and fuel rail, then you should consider buying the VAFCII, which will tune your air/fuel and also act as an RPM switch. The IACV plate will have to be custom made by either StephenMax or a machine shop. I think StephenMax will do them for $75. They are quality pieces, so the price is fair in my opinion. I made my own, and easily have $75 worth of time and materials in it.

as todd stated, talk to stephen max. You'll need him to drill the LIM, and to make the adapter plates. I think you should get a v-afc II anyway. You'll save the $100 on the rpm switch and you can tune the car.
#33
I'm not looking to tune the car, since I"m not all that apt at mechanics, thats why I went with setup #8 on Tatanko's website so that its less hassle for me after installation, and I already ordered the adapter plates from Stephen max

ebay for $250 usually or brand new for like $350 or something. I just think it's a good idea because I feel like I added the 00vi and it didnt help like I thought it would. I feel like the a/f ratio I have now is throwing the cars power out of whack a little. So if you can get a good deal on the 00vi parts then go for the v-afc II and monitor the car. Plus it has some pretty cool other features you can keep track of.
