G/I: Bulk MEVI's and Cefiro parts..

Well guys as some of you know I've really gotten into the JM deep here lately and it may be possible to get a bulk shipment of MEVI's off A32 Cefiros straight from Japan if theres enough interest.. Of course you will still need some parts to complete the system that goes without saying. But, I may be able to get these things REAL cheap.

I wont quote prices until i've worked out the details and such, just wanted to see how much interest there would be in cheap MEVI's.

Also, I wanna see how much interest there is in Cefiro parts period. So, post up anything you may like to see and I'll shoot you a PM if its possible.

[Samsung SM5 parts may be an option in the future as well.]

SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY!!

I more or less need the year of the car and its specification (Ie. '98 Cefiro S-Type, which happens to be the car I pull from for my maxima).

At times I get quite busy so please be patient with me I'll do the best that I can honest.

RESEARCH before you request.

I'm hoping to slash courtesy's price in half.. But it's all dependent on several key factors.

I'd be interested in some Cefiro parts, really depends on what i see since i'm not too familiar with all the varous cefiro parts. I'd say if you're gonna import them getting pics of what you can get will definitely be best.

Most likely around $250.. We'll see.

As far as the rest of you.. I will see, but I more or less need the year of the car and its specification (Ie. '98 Cefiro S-Type, which happens to be the car I pull from for my maxima).

If this thread becomes too large I may have to go to PM's as it gets chaotic trying to follow up on posts.

Let's keep it going.

You are correct, all A32 Cefiro's came with the MEVI.. However the A33's came with 00vi same as the states.

I might get my hands on some cheap Cefiro 00vi's with the JDM engine covers, but thats reserved for some of those on this board that have done me favors in the past first.

Yeah, its not a favorites thing.. just I owe some guys for advice and parts. But, I'll see what I can do for you fellas.

All in good time, my friend is over in JP scouting right now for me. I'm trying to get ahold of some Cefiro badges, door sills and some other things amongst a primera steering wheel for a friend. So, I'll have to wait tell the summer to put in the order for all this anyways.

Just before I get all worked up.... are these NEW parts... or would these be used ???? Also I could work between the range of $250-$350 for a NEW MEVI or 00VI, but of course used... I would consider it to be cheaper... but then again.. I need to finalize the purchase of my 5spd today... then I can get more worked up cause I'll have a car to work on... let alone I went from auto to 5spd

I'm interested as well for the MEVI for that price, used or not! Also though, there's key variables like mileage plus what's included and what isn't. Even still, I'm interested! 99 A32 SE MT

If these are coming off working Cefiro's wouldn't it be possilbe for them to be complete with everything neccessary?

Any body parts or would shipping be bad?

Do JDM VQ30 ECU's have a higher rev-limit? You can see where I'm going with this....

I wish on the body parts.. NOT BAD, just not cheap. We have one container to fit front clips, engines and all that jazz and let me tell you A32 parts aren't at the top of the list.

But go ahead and inquire J. and I'll see. As far as the ECU, they had the 2L and 2.5L but honestly I've yet to see a VQ30DE or /K in any of the pics my friend is sending back. Rev limit is most likely standard unfortunately, although it may be higher and yes I see where you're going, rev-extend + factory V/I tune and the latter.

EDIT: I guess he found some 3L's. You might have something there.. I didn't even think about that honestly.

If you can let's try and see if this is a plug and play type deal. Is there anyway your guy can find out if they have a better tune than the USDM? Perhaps part numbers? I can research to an extent, but I'm sure most of our useful information is going to be in Japanese.

Besides myself, I don't see any reason why you couldn't get at least 5 guys to commit to the MEVIs.

Well in the case of the 3L I imagine the tune was more agressive.. But, I know for fact that for the 3.5L it was less agressive.

He doesn't have a way to figure that out, it's up to us to research it, or wait until he gets one or two and I ship it to you and do it myself. That will be the only definitive evidence.

VQ30DE seems harder to come by in most countries so that makes me worry a little bit. But, Japan apparently has the most of them besides the US(IM) version. I'm hoping he can find us at least a few JVIM's (Japanese Variable Intake Manifold- which is what its called according to a japs).

We're still gonna have to get some of the seals and fasteners ourselves.

Apparition : I'm looking for a set of 95-99 Cefiro 2.0 or 3.0 tail lights, the three piece with the center license plate mount. I've found some for $260 shipped from Taiwan- if you can compete with that price, let me know.

No, most likely that would be cheaper than if I could get it.. Remember the bigger the part the more space it takes away from S chassis and RB parts and then the price sky rockets.
