I may have just the glass. Is that all you need or is there something else wrong with your mirror?

 

only the gals was broken. it moves and im sure the heated feature will work. is it a heated-specific piece of glass?

 

Yes and no. The heat element is behind the glass. The glass is surrounded by the black plastic but you can't remove the black plastic from the glass to get to the heating element. Heres some pictures. This is one i have but it's in bad shape. The black part around the glass dries out and starts to look like white chalk if rubbed
