fyi... you need to post your location just under your "join date" so that the mods don't lock your thread.

Black, would this install without fitment issues? That flex section goes over the transaxle correct?

the manifold will be a straight bolt on since its designed for the vq30, i imagine the flex section goes over the transmission and i think would fit easily on my 5spd. The only thing i think would require some extra room for would be the turbo in the front. fans might get in the way.

Thanks for the clarification bro, would be a great future project especially if the OP can turn out other setups.

might be a dumb question, but how is this gonna work with the rest of the vq30 we have? Do we need anything else? ECU mods?

This may be a stupid Q as well but are all of the internals on the U.S. VQ30s compatible, structurally, with the Japanese turbo setups?

I've owned two other turbo cars... a Mazda MX-6 GT and a Mustang SVO... and know that the engines on those turbo cars differed from their NA twins (i.e. rotating body, piston design, block thickness and gasket sets).

This a wonderful thing, don't get me wrong and I'm excited to know we may be able to get more of them, but I'd be concerned that the U.S. engines aren't setup for direct bolt in.

Any input from anyone in the know?

I have never bolted this to a vq30de in a maxima or even ran the stock ecu If you run the internals you have to run the crank rods and pistons the vq30det uses a 50mm rod jurnal the mains are the same and it does bolt right into the de. I have internals if anybody is looking for them I run the vq30det in a sandrail with custom headers and a gt35r
