IACV Question

I took apart my IACV the other day, cleaned it, and then put it back together. I've been searching in the forums and called my local Nissan service department and couldn't get a straight answer. My question has to do with the black plastice piece that you screw in or out to adjust the idle. When i put everthing back together i didn't tighten it all the way leaving it open just a little (covering up about half of the small hole, the way it was on originally before i cleaned it). When i started the car i had high RPM's. I tightened it and it barely adjusted the RPM's. So i tightened it all the way closing up the small hole and restarted the car. It idle's steady at 900 RPM's (no jumping) and i took it for a test drive letting the engine get warm. No problems at all. Is it ok for this piece to be completely screwed down or does it need to remain open a little to let it breathe?

it prolly idles fine now cause ur throttle plate is open just enough for sum air to get by...i currently have no iacv hooked up and my car idles fine..soo its not sumthing to really worry about..what i would do is check ur throttle plate make sure it closes all the way when u let off the trottle and open up that screw a tiny bit
