WTB: y-pipe

definitely wrong place to ask this question, but...
what is the difference in equal-length and...any other kind?
i'm suddenly interested in getting a y-pipe and i know next to nothing, and no search tells me the difference. equal length would require replacing the headers, if it means what i think it does...?

To the OP: If you want an equal length y pipe, you need to get headers as well, and as long as you plan on staying N/A, it really isn't worth it, unless you really really care about how it sounds. And they aren't cheap either...Cattman sells them for around $900.
Id just go with a SS y pipe from either Cattman (great fitment), Warpspeed or Budget to see the best gains.

I like the sound that comes from the stock y, which is very restrictive but at least is equal length. I just can't stand that ricey sound that comes from the non-equal length y's.

all of the links bring up empty pages, and a search returns 0 results no matter what you search for. it even says "0 products in 17 categories" on the home page.
yes thank you.

yeah same thing for me.. maybe he called them? well either way, their site is under construction..

yeah, there's not a lot of info on the site. I did use it to contact them though. Emailed for info and then used the 800 # to order. Pipe was $250 CDN + $30 shipping (Canadian address). that's for an unpolished SS and all 3 gaskets. They had the pipe in stock. email is: BudgetExhaust@bellnet.ca
Had it installed today. Tried myself y'day but no way in hell I was getting the rusted nuts off the cat, so had my local shop do it - only cost me $30 to get the stock y off and the Budget pipe installed. haven't really had a chance to romp on it yet, but the nice low rumble from the exhaust (rest of exhaust is stock) is almost worth the price alone.

If I am not mistaken, the first gen Stillen y pipe is equal length and doesn't require headers right?
Correct. Good luck finding one of those now days though, very rare.
