Just one quick question to you, im in process of debating this process... if 5th gen iacv gets blocked off and i use a 4th gen iacv... where does it mount in the engine bay??

Sorry for the slow response, I was out of town for the holiday. The 4th gen IACV is basically held up by the big rubber hose that comes from the intake boot and the hose going to the 5th gen IACV block off plate. There really isn't a need for a mount.

A high temp RTV should work fine. Make sure you apply it to all mating surfaces on both plates. You don't want any air leaks.
