FS:Tein Basic Coilovers.

Selling these Tein coilovers I just bought. Have decided that if I do keep this Maxima, coilovers are not what I need for a daily commute. These ride real nice, comfortable, wont kill your back. No leaks, includes both spanner wrenches. Asking $575.00 shipped. Thanks! Paul

What my car looked like with them on the stock 16s. Still had about 1/2 an inch to 1.5 inches of thread left.

Mounts are nice and tight. Nothing wrong with them. This is a bolt in and go affair.

They can be made to work. i modded a set of cattmans to work on my 5th gen. I believe upper strut mounts are the same on the fronts, but you will need to use the rear strut mounts off the 5th gen to work on these.

Do these have the adjustable camber plates?

Did they cause axle clicking?

What specifically didn't you like about everyday driving?

"Re-post from another thread -- some might find this useful:

To the guys asking about comparisons with shocks/struts:

NOTHING will be as smooth as stock/H-Tech/H&R springs with Tokico Illumina or Koni Yellow shocks. Period. Konis and Illuminas are freakin' great shocks that will keep everything under control, and those springs are soft enough that they'll soak up the bumps with ease. If you're coming from one of these setups and going to coilovers, you'll find the coilovers harder over bumps.

That said, the coilovers will virtually ELIMINATE wallowing and rolling, and they give you astronomical levels of grip that you just cannot get with any other setup. This makes the car give you a feeling of control that, combined with the car settling really quickly after a bump, makes many people think that the ride with good coilovers is better than with any spring-and-strut combo -- even stock.

And if you're coming from any lesser spring-and-shock combo -- for example, any lowering springs with Tokico Blue, KYB GR-2, or KYB AGX -- you'll almost definitely prefer the ride with K-Sports. Tokico Blues or GR-2s combined with lowering springs make the ride bouncy -- when you go over a bump, the initial shock will be soft but the car will continue to bounce for a bit afterward. AGXs are just harsh in general. K-Sports make the initial shock a little harder, but they won't bounce as badly (if you set the damping right ), and the car will handle much, much better."

edit that was taken from http://forums.maxima.org/advanced-su...vers-talk.html

They dont have adjustable camber plates... the only tein coils that do are the SS series.. these are basics so you retain fsctory strut mounts

I do not know the mileage. I never asked the PO. Maybe Islandmax could comment on that.

They do not have camber plates. Just use the stock uppers.

No axle clicking.

I liked them, but I commute 60 miles a day, in all kinds of weather conditions. Decided I didnt want to have to deal with salt on these coils, along with, i do not need coils on my beater daily. I have quite a few speed bumps, and steep drives all around my area, so I didn't want to have to worry about any of that,

^Truth. These had a little over 10k on them when I sold them to the OP this month. I posted up "sold" when I got payment, heres the FS link http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...in-basics.html

I guess the OP is not a coilover person, maybe just not on a daily. Good that you broke you cherry with these vs a set of (BC,JIC,D2) dialed to 30

Someone buy them, they are in great condition.

Do they cause axle clicking? Only if your rotator splint is worn. LoL

Rotator splint eh? I better get that checked, and I should probably top off my blinker fluid while I'm at it.

I bet the axle clicking is due to me having summer air in my tires instead of winter. I should switch it out. I'll report back when it's done.

Seriously I would like these since all my struts have over 100k + original springs. If there here in a couple weeks I'll buy. If not oh well.

Thanks for answering my questions.
