He is selling a set for a 5.5. They are the same as a 4th gen only difference is you'd have to get rid of your egr. If that's not an option for you. I have a set for a 4th gen with and egr bung. You'd have to buy the headers from him and trade me for mine. That's your only option for now it looks like. Other than waiting for another set to pop up, but cattmans out of buiseness, don't know if anyone will be selling a set anytime soon.

Those are for 5.5 gen though. I might be mistaken, but doesn't 4th gen especially In California require CA specific with egr support?

Add an egr if needed.

If you're worried about emissions and inspections you might just want to stay stock.

Several have added an egr to cattman though.
Not impossible.

I have such a love/hate relationship with CA for these reasons... I appreciate the information though. Just to summarize I would need to add an egr, right?

It has an egr on it, but I believe the location is very different on a 4th gen.
You'll have to do some customizing.

5th gen maybe since it's still 3.0, but 02-03 I don't think so.
You can see the egr sticking out towards the passenger side on those cattmans for sale..and I'm pretty sure the 3.0 egr is on the DS.

^lol I don't know. I offered, the op didnt even dignify it with a response, so I ignored this thread.

Are you sure about the egr for a 5th gen facing a different side? From what I know 95-01 are exactly the same (with egr) and 02-03 have no egr bung at all.

Cattman is the ultimate way to go but cattman is no more... you just gotta keep checking the forums each day. Is your car cali spec or fed spec?

You will wanna find a set of cattman. Obx is ok from what I hear but you gotta make sure you get the equal length ones if you go that route. Best bet is to check the forums everyday. I checked both 4th gen and 5th gen because it is the same fitment across the board. You should definitely try to find a set with the egr bung attached because you can totally block off your egr but two things will happen; your NO levels in your emission will shoot way up and second your gas mileage when cruising will take a huge dump... The other thing I hear about the obx is that they don't fit very well and require a little bending to make them fit. Cattman fits like a glove and has better welding...

I actually saw a pair of those OBX headers on eBay. I pulled the trigger on them and was going to go with them before I read the threads on this site. After I read about the OBX fitment issues, I immediately contacted the seller and told him not to send them and refund my money.
So I just ordered the WS Y-pipe and I have that installed now. Ebay still has the OBXs on there for like $324.00 + $32.00 shipping fee. I'm not sure if these are the updated ver. but I just went with the Y-pipe. I also have a Greddy catback from 2001 on my Maxima so they seemed to be working fine now. Only other upgrade I can think of is a supercharger and those are $$$$$$

Wow, sounds like a great upgrade. The spacer kit along with a fresh carbon fiber hood should make a nice combo package.
