No I won't need it. I'm not gonna have 3.0 timing. I plan on all motor swap with haltech and larger cams, so no, it won't be faster with SC kit. Yes, I'm selling IACV plate as well. I'll figure out how much and edit my post according. Thanks!

So u doing a full 3.5 swap?and how can u say NA is gonna be faster than the blower even with bigger cams ull be at 280hp add Some porting to the heads and higher compression u might hit 300hp or a little higher with the supercharger u can hit 320-380 on a 3.0.a 3.5 swap supercharged will put u in the 400hp easy.

The swap I plan on doing will get me well over 400 hp easy as well. I'm hoping to get to 500hp or over. Depends on how aggressive the cams i get and how I want to build the motor.

Whoa dude only way to even come close to making 400hp it has never been achieved in a vq not even stroked .unless u running nitrious but NA will never Net 400hp in a vq and to come close u will need like 15k$.

Just to throw in my two cents, I'm not sure about that... search hal0501 on Google to see hal's turbo max... granted he has spray but look at his dyno results if you watch his video.

I agree with you about the full NA though. 400 hp cannot be done! Full tune and all NA you be lucky to hit maybe 320 at the wheels. Remember vq35 is only around 275 from factory at the crank which is more like 245 or 250 to the wheels.

I guess we all have our opinions....but i do plan on building lower (pistons, rods, etc,) and upper (cams, etc) engine and it will not cost $15k. Most people don't get the full potential from their 3.5's b/c of improper set up. And if I don't get what I'm expecting with full tune and all NA, then I may add turbo, but i doubt nitrous. Btw, as a side note, I plan on doing 09+ 3.5 Max (4.7) swap. Hopefully, I will have pics of build as its done and dyno results by summer.

In any event, getting back to my post.....either way, I'm not gonna need the 3.0 timing s/c. I'm hoping someone else can benefit and get good gains (as Max Streets has pointed out) from this set up.

09+ has variable valve timing and variable lift... unless you are gonna pull the whole wiring harness and start a new wouldn't that be a waste of money buying that engine? Just curious for myself on how you will overcome that part?

A whole new wiring harness is being done, but i'm not sure 09+ 3.5's have variable lifts. I thought that was for cars like BMW's.

It absolutely has variable lift... if you are looking for major power search on Google hal0501 his 95 max stock motor, injectors puts down major power with a turbo kit.

Absolutely is a very strong word.... It has variable timing not lift..... two very different things.

Like I was saying earlier.....some people don't even know what they have, so their set up won't get them the gains others could get. Thank everyone for all the suggestions for power gains, but I think I got it. If I have any questions in the future, I will be sure you post in discussions thread.

But for now, if anyone is interested in my parts....hmu!
