auto > 6spd?

is an auto to 6spd conversion possible, rather than 5spd? How much of a difference would it make? worth it?

I think it's too tough for the money. The 4th and 5th gen till 2001 uses a hydro clutch system, the 2002 model uses a cable I believe. Honda's have simple conversions to go from one to the other, but I don't think the Maxima is as versitile. Easiest thing is to wait and see if the motor mounts line up and maybe a complete motor and tranny swap will work out...otherwise, just sell the car and buy a 2002.

I'm sure the 2k2 still uses a hydraulic clutch... maybe you are thinking of cable shift linkage for the 2k2 as opposed to the rod linkage of the 2000-2001.
