- Does anybody have a suggestion on some good lightweight, 5 or 6 spoke, clean-looking, 17" rims. They should look nice, but not be too flashy (no chrome and no "bolts" around rim). Pricing and a name of a distributor would be appreciated. Thanks! ;-)

Lightweight Rims

Sleeper I don't know how much your looking to spend but a decent rim for the $ and lightweight for a 17" is the Konig Toxxins. I bought 18"ers and so far it's one of the lightest racing rims for the $. But I'm sure there's alot more (like the Konig Rated R). They run about $160-$170 per wheel. It's a split 6 spoke wheel. To get a good look go to discounttire.com Check them out.

My Enkei's are exactly what you describes NOT wanting, but these are awesome wheels. light and extremely strong... believe it or not, they actually ride better than my last set of rims. I don't know how but they do. I'd figure a 16" rim is a 16" is a 16".. nope.

Also look at pretty much anything made by Konig. they're pretty light and are exactly what you described for appearance. price isn't bad either. The only concern I have with them is that they tend to bend easily if you don't drive carefully.

I think these are light and they look pretty good too, but about $360 for 18", but I have heard they weigh only 18lbs. Does anyone know anything about them? If you scroll through the rims on this link you can see them on the car.

some good light weight rims are enkei RPO-1s.. something like 16 pounds for a 17x8... cheap too. $199 ea.

also, try the Kosei Racing 6 spoke, only in 16x8 i think.. those are relatively light..

and of course, the ultimate race rims TE37 Volks...
