Already scraped my lip...and another question

I've had my front lip on for 2 days and I've already realized that driveways with hills = BAD

At least now I know that the double-sided tape holds pretty well....

Also, do any of you lowered, kitted people have problems going through car washes? I dont have the time to wash it myself today and I want to go through one, but not if my front lip is going to drag on the rails the whole way.
Thanks,

I remember Craig's front lip came off on the highway and got butchered by his own car

I hope double sided tape will hold but .... you should rivet that sucker in place.

About the car wash, take a tape measure, measure your ground clearance and the rail height, that should answer your question. I would have to imagine the rails would vary from one car wash to another if they have a different set up.

Hey Adam,
Try those hand wash car wash places instead...you pay a bit more but the one I go to sometimes uses clean cloth on each car. The one I go to is on 4th and Quebec near the Global TV station and Science World. Gotta watch out for the exit ramp as it is a bit steep.
I should try out the Pink Elephant car wash outside of Granville Island Market next time.

Having a lip gives you a whole new perspective on sidewalk car entrances and on ramps! Just remember to take them at an angle!

At the touchless car wash I used to work at, we turned most people away if they were pretty low, to take no chances. That place would have definitely frowned upon someone walking out to the track area and sitting there with a tape measurer, measuring things, unless business was pretty dead. You'd probably get sprayed by the guys manning the guns Not to mention challenging the double-sided tape with high-pressure sprayers.

I'd take it to a self-spray wash if anything. If you didn't have time for that and didn't NEED for it to be clean tomorrow, I'd wait and wash it tomorrow.

True...I guess I could do it myself tomorrow. Its just that it rained these past couple days and my car has been parked under a tree...so its really disgustingly dirty....

Most touchless washes with detail areas will offer this service as a detail I think. I forget how much the place I used to work at charged...I don't think it was a standard service, but if you asked, they'd do it. Really careful vette and viper owners were about the only ones that ever had it done (not a bad idea, after I saw someone leave the e-brake up in a brand new vette going down the track)
