Front strut mounts on 98 Max

I was looking in the engine compartment and saw that the strut mounts are mounted on the towers with acorn-style lug nuts. Is this normal? I noticed that a new Maxima in the showroom had smaller open ones. Could this be the cause of the front-end vibration on the highway?? Just wondering.

It doesnt matter what type of Nut is on the strut towers. Those acorn nuts come with some strut bars.

about the vibration, it may be that your rims/tires are out of round or allignment may be off
