With those mods and a car in good working order and at a normal altitude (not high altitude like Denver, etc) you can expect 180-185 at the wheels. Check out the Dyno forum to get further info.

the car comes stock with 190hp
if he adds all that how can he lose power
i would think he would gain at least 1hp

Oh God! I was laughing for a solid minute when I read that one. Don't worry about it, you're a newbie, don't take it personally. Just live and learn. Trust me, wiring up a compelte sound system recently I cut my teeth just as you will if you get bit by the mod bug.

I've been bitten by the mod bug for sure....visions of y-pipes and red/clear tails and projector beam headlights and frankencar intakes dance in my head at night when I sleep.

If you want to keep your car quiet, lower emissions, brighten your headlights, reduce audio interference, and gain 2-8HP and 5-20 Ft-lbs of torque all throughout your powerband, I'll have something for everyone really soon. I just had this product dyno tested on my 97 Maxima. I just have to test my mileage and measure the gains...I'm hoping for 1.5-2.5 MPG gained. BTW this mod installs in 15 minutes and costs less than $150.

Re: horsepower gains

well I dont know what year your max is, but if its a 95-99, then your Y pipe will give you 10-20, cat back about 8 and flywheel about 6 and about 6 for the intake too (at the crank not front wheels) so you could be up about 40hp or so.

I have never seen a Y-Pipe give over 12-13hp at the wheels by itself.

Someone show me a before and after Dyno, and I'll believe it.

Sounds like a type of liquid that can be applied to anything on the car and make it better...hell, probably smoothen the car's surface to improve airflow like on airplanes.

Is it Zmax?!Does anyone know if Zmax is worth it..i mean c'mon now, AJ Foyt?

The product I'm talking about is the Hyper Ground Wire system. It's basically a series of thicker gauge wires that ground your battery, intake manifold, and engine block. I guess on the technical side, it's a little more complex.

VeeTec gained 16whp with his Cattman SS, back to back before and after dynos. He posted them back in winter or whenever that was. Someone else just about 3 weeks ago gained 15whp from their WSP pipe, before and after dynos.

I personally am up 20HP with cattman SS pipe and JWT intake from stock hp level.

Go to www.motorvate.ca and check out his new Budget y-pipe dyno results.

-18 HP Gain
-19 ft/lb Torque Gain

There are dyno slips and everything.

Wow, that link gives me a better idea as well. At least a better idea than my "mechanic" does. He specializes in imports and he argued what year my car was and what trim. anyways thanks for the link....

How does increased grounding improve performance that much?
