Lights pulsate, car shakes????????

Lights pulsate, car shakes????????
My buddy just got a 97 Max with 108k miles on it. The car is in fairly good shape, however sometimes his interior and exterior lights pulsate for no reason, also the car shakes a little after it reaches 2000 rpm's. The car is an automatic. Any ideas on what this could be, alternator?? Please help. Thanks

the car was probably wrecked before your friend purchased it.

My friend used to have like 4 amps and no cap- his headlights shook when the bass did

sounds like alternator goin bad.... there is a recall on thos suckers
