1/8 npt female to 1/4 nipple, but using 5/16 hose ok?

Should be ok right? The 5/16 hose fits on the 1/4 nipple with no problem of course. I tried using a hose clamp on it and tried to pull it off, it seem to hold pretty good. However, I still can twist the hose left/right. Other than that, it does seem to hold the hose in pretty good. I'm talking about the fuel line hoses btw. I'm having a hard time trying to find a 1/8 npt male to 5/16 nipple. Even if I could find it, what about the fuel pump nozzle? I bought a 1/8 coupler thinking it would fit over the nozzle, but it didn't fit, a bit too small. Anyway, I would rather just use the 5/16 hose on the 1/4 nipple. Ideas? Thanks!

Ok, when the words "female", "nipple", "cumalot", and the various uses of "hose" (you can still "twist your hose left/right", it "holds your hose in pretty good", and that you'd rather just "use your hose on the nipple") all appear in the same post, I have to laugh.

Sorry, wish I could help for real, but needed the comedic relief.

Ok, let me get this straight. You can't find a 1/8" NPT to 5/16" barbed fitting? There are readily available, I have a couple spares.

Don't put the hose on a 1/4" barbed fitting you are asking for trouble.

What are where is the fuel pump nozzle you are referring to? I have installed an fpr, fuel pump, guages etc but don't remember a nozzle.

The fuel pump nozzle is from the Vortech SC kit.

For whatever reason, the shops around me don't seem to have the 1/8 NPT to 5/16 nipple in stock. I'll try to check out the NAPA store that's near Mardigrasmax house. Hopefully, I can find it.

Ok, I got them now. I was looking for the NAPA auto part store that Matt told me that should have them in stock. Well, I couldn't find the store...lol. So I went back to the PepBoys near there and bought the 1/8 NPT male to 5/16 nipple. Seem like they just got them in stock, there were a bunch of them. So two of the hoses should be ok now. I just have to see what will work with the one on the fuel pump nozzle.
