Plz assume that I know nothing about taking apart the dash, instrument cluster, etc..

I need to tap into the cig lighter power. Honestly, I can't see how I can gain access to it. I know the console, the one where the lighter and the ash tray is, lifts off. How do I do that?

I need answers fast. I'm gonna try to do this during lunch break.

 

just take a screw driver, put some cloth around it so you wont scratch the plastic and pop up from the part closest to the cupholders.

 

Pull up on the transmission holder trim panel. Here, the cigarette holder will be attached to it, and you can gain access behind the plug and harness.
