I believe I am in need of new front brake pads, and would love to hear the response from other 'experienced' .org members.

I have porterfield R4-S pads on my car, just installed them today with drilled brembo rotors. They are great, stop on a dime and make no noise! The R4-S pads are for street and a little track use. Im pretty sure the porterfield R4 pads are for track use. There is a maximadriver.com Deal, so if u do call them then be sure to mention that. Just my .02

CarboTech Panther + compound. You have to have them made and they are a bit pricey but they do not fade. I can threshold brake all day long. I just used them today in 90 degree heat on a very heavy braking track no problem.

I've used Porterfield's, I can eat through an entire set in one day and they fade after 15 min. of hard use. They don't last, though the term "light" track use doesn't apply to me. I've gotten 6 track days out of the Carbotech's so far, and expect one more before they're toast.

I still like Porterfield for the street, they're out of their leauge on the track with this car.
