Windshield wiper blades

Do you guys use anything special or should a generic one from my local Canadian tire be fine?

My OEM's have been great so far. Nice clean sweeps with no streaks whatsoever.

If you live in an inclement weather area you might consider getting some 'heavy duty' style blades, but it's up to you.

Check this out for more info/help...

Just in case you are interested I bought a new pair of the best Cdn Tire blades ie teflon etc and the first time my wife took the car out in the rain one of the rivets popped of and the wiper rolled over and scratched the windshield pretty deep.

I went to Cdn Tire (after yelling at the wife, of course) they gave me the 800 # of their customer service. They took my info and said they would get back to me. Next morning at 8 AM got a call and they said they forwarded the info to Gates who manufacturers the blades for them. Two days later a Gates rep calls and wants to come look at the car and the blade, next morning he was here and said yes, no problem just take the car to any Apple Auto Glass or Dominion Auto Glass, we have an account and will install a new windshield for you.

Took it next day and got a new windshield, looks much bettter than the old one.

I am still using the Cdn Tire blades, I think it was just a default and will probably never happen again.

Just wanted you to hear a good story about customer service.

i use the CDN tire aerofoil ones.. apparently they wipe better at high speeds.. fairly cheap

the best ones that i've heard from various forums are the bosch microedge ones.. but those are pricey!

What is the part number for 97 Maxima? I look up through 4nissanpart.com, and they showed up at least 4-5 different part number. Can you tell me which part number you used? Thanks
