manual vs auto tranny oil change... any difference?

Hey guys, i have these coupons from Nissan about an "Auto Transmission Oil Change" for 40 bucks... I went to a gas station mechanic and asked them how much they charged and he told me 30 bucks and I told him i had a 5-spd. He then told me that it's different (auto and manual)... i wanted to ask why it's different but i couldnt understand a damn thing he said. I tried searching for it but no luck. Any difference in changing the tranny oil?? Also, can it be done fairly easy w/o having to go out and pay for the change because i want to switch to RedLine. Thanks

Automatic and 5 speeds are 2 entirely different things. Automatic uses about 9.5 quarts of ATF. 5 speed holds about 4.5 quarts 75W-90 gear oil. You can easily chande your own 5 speed oil. There are many write ups on it, just do a search. I get my Redline products from
http://www.myoilshop.com/ use the discount code 675421 and get another 10% off. They ship super fast!
