Just a little brighter

Was wondering if you could rewire the lights in the doorpanel, so that they can come on with the door closed??

Are you talking about the "step" light? If so, just wire them to a battery "constant" wire such as the vanity light controlled by a switch. Bypass the circuit coming in from the door switch, though. This will prevent from harming with the BCM (body control module). If you mess up the circuit in the BCM, your screwed! The light operating from that circuit will be ruined, and will have to be rewired to something else, unless you can repair it in the BCM.
