saw max get nailed by camaro cop
i was driving down 355 with my friend and there was a max, it was stock though and he was speeding and swerving through traffic and i noticed a green camaro folling him. i thought they were gonna race but when the max hit open road and gunned it i saw lights on the back of the camaros window flip on he caught the guy. its kinda scary how they are doing this now. i am d*mn glad i have a radar detector.

It goes to show you just never really know where a cop might be. They're really doing unorthodox things these days it seems. When I was in Massachusetts we had a problem with people pretending to be police officers pulling people over. Honestly I'd be weary of stopping for anything that was unmarked expecially a Camaro. But I've seen them here in MD too, camaros (perhaps Firebirds?) on the side of the raod pulling people over.
Strange. I couldn't imagine the day I would stop for a PT Cruiser though. I'd probably drive right to the police station afraid it was some lunatic wannabe cop!
Re: saw max get nailed by camaro cop
as long as you look out for suspicious cars on the road, you'll be fine. besides, you should know better than to race domestics, cops will only buy domestic patrol cars, cruisers and sports cars.

If anyone is ever driving in Plano, TX, look out for a white (V6 looking) camaro and a gold brand-new impala (non-SS), there are NO, I repeat NO tell-tell signs of it being a cop (no visible lights, no spot-light, no plates, and get this...LIGHTS POP UP FROM DASH AND FROM GRILLE) but trust me they are! I have seen them both pull over people next to me on Plano Pkwy.
Just a heads up!

In NE PA, always watch out for impalas...any color.
Also, i've seen NJ state police with unmarked Vipers. That's right a viper. I was driving on I-80 one night when this dude blows past me at over a hundred (i know, because i was doing about 95 at the time) and out of the tree line a white viper jets out and chases this guy down, with a blue light on the dash and his lights flashing. Caught the guy in no time.
Another time, i saw a dark blue caprice pull out of the trees after somebody, but the cop was an idiot. There's a hand-operated spotlight mounted on the side of the car, which the cops use to single out the person they're chasing. Well, when the lights aren't in use, the officers turn them around, so they're facing into the cabin. I guess it's so the light is hidden more and the car looks like a civilian vehicle. So the cop pulls out and gets right behind the guy he was chasing and flicks on the light, but the moron forgot to turn the light outward. The whole interior of the car explodes with white light, and the car swerves across three lanes of traffic and luckily doesen't hit anyone. The cop wound up on the shoulder, after he finally turned the light outwardand the speeder got away. Stupid jersey troopers.

I predict we will see an increase in "countermeasures".
I see oil slicks, rear mounted machine guns, rear mounted guided heat sinker missiles.
Build yourself a Bond car or find a way to make you car fly, because you can't outrun the cops.

Re: Re: Re: saw max get nailed by camaro cop
here in richmond,va i have seen a few undercover civics and accords with rims and exhaust on them. they cruise around at night and act like they are gonna race you but when you take off they pull you over. its funny as sh** to see a riced out civic pull over another riced out civic.

here's my question, though, if you don't pull over, can they really blame you for it?

Plus, if they get your tag and witness a violation, especially if they have it on tape, they may contact you with a citation. Hell, I got a phone call one day from the local police station and had a citation issued on me remotely because some random civilian called in my plate. (I gave someone a touch of bumper love in my first few months of driving in the high school lot...ahh, sweet sixteen).

There is no way you can know if a cop car is in the back of you...in the night time...unless you've got night ray vision Ok!
