flex plate for auto's

does anyone know if there would be significant improvement if a company made a lighter flex plate with more teeth on it? I know it makes a difference in 8cyl large horsepowers cars but any need for it on a 6cyl?

That thing is very light to begin with. I doubt it. It weighs nothing compared to a stock flywheel on a 5spd.
