What makes the exhausts from the 99.5s and other 4th gens different?

And how can I find out if I have a 99.5? I'm beginning to think I have one because my WS Y-pipe had some fitment issues, and the shop had to get creative to make it fit.

Warpspeed makes the pipe for our cars. Find out what emissions you have on your 99.

There is no such thing as a 99.5 model. In 1999 Nissan made changes to the Y pipe and the ECU for California Emissions equipped cars. Warpspeed calls them the 99.5 for some strange reason.

The 1999 California Spec cars share the same Y pipe as the 2K and the 2K1 Maxima.

The 1999 Federal Spec cars share the same Y pipe as all the other years. (95 - 98)

Sounds like that pipe may fit your car. E-mail Cattman and ask him for sure.

Does your car have California emmisions? If so you use the newer pipe. If not you use the same as the rest of us.

look between the valve cover (thing that says NISSAN 3000 or whatever) and the radiator...youll have either 2 or 4 sensors....2 = fed spec, 4 = cali
