need some help on removing the defrost and hazard button

need some help on removing the defrost and hazard button

i have the dash apart aleardy but i cant get the hazard and defrost buttons out. i tried pushing the side that had the tab on it but that only made that side loose, how can i get the other side loose so it comes out??

You have to push real hard to pop the switches out after pushing the tab behind...

i tried pushing hard but im afraid im going to break something. should i just keep pushing harder then?

It's just hard to pop out... be prepared to skin your knuckles...
