MaxSpeeds with GR2's

Hey guys, I wanted to know if the Maxspeed/GR2 combo would be the best for me. I want a drop, but I also want the smoothest ride possible. How do the GR2's compare to the AGX's in comfort level? Where are the best places to buy GR2's?

Also, between 17's and 18's, does rim size have anything to do with ride stiffness? What about between 15's and 17's?

Thanks for your help guys!

I can't see why there would be anything bad with running the MAxSpeeds and GR2...bear in mind they GR2 are meant for stock replacement...not performance oriented like others...so they will perform like stocks...but I and a lot of other members are running the springs with the stock suspension parts...and no complaints here...

if you got the car for smooth ride, there are some sacrifices you will make for larger wheels, more road noise and vibration transferred into the cabin ane the added price of larger diameter setup are the down sides.

Upsides are greater traction, better venting brakes, more aggressive stance and it just looks better depending on what style you have on now...Good luck and Happy Motoring!

If the GR2's are meant to replace the stock parts, then won't they wear out faster than performance struts? From what I have been told, keeping the stock struts makes them wear out MUCH faster.

This is a debatable issue currently...People have suggested that GR2's are nearly equivalent to, or surpassing, Tok blues in build/component quality. Apparently, GR2's should be able to handle drops up to 1.5 inches. Until someone does a comparo followed by a dissection of both shocks to inspect internal components, the world will never know.

Did you already get your Maxspeeds and GR-2's? If not, I'm having mine installed on Friday. I'll let everyone know how they turn out (although mine are going to be on the stock SE wheels).

You should have no problems with the Maxspeed/GR-2 combo. It'll be a smooth perfect drop. I happen to have the Intrax/GR-2 drop without any problems for the past 1.5 years. My drop is much lower and I didn't have to sacrifice much ride comfort, so if mine is lower you should be much more in better shape.

Everybody told me that I HAD TO at least get GR-2 or better to replace the stock struts, because the stock struts would wear out quickly. So they've got to be at least a little better than stock, I would think...
