Loving the new Custom Mid Pipe....

Briefly What I did and happened......
-==-Well I was finally bored since I had my restricted license so I was home a lot more. So I decided to make a custom mid-pipe like that $15 Home made pipe. I used the same thing as the write up did. Now for the hose fittings all OSH and Home Depot had were brass fittings. The first attempt to put on the fitting to the pipe, we tried to braze the two fittings but I guess the brass didn't want to hold up so it melted through the pipe . That ruined the pipe so a day later I just bought another pipe and new fittings. This time i used some Poxy that was used for bonding metals together and that worked really well and dries in 4min. I think it looks really good and I went out and bought a breather for like $10 at Pepboys. Ohh yeah I also went to get new heater hose...(I think that one hose i called like my EGR hose or heater hose or something(correct me if I'm wrong))

Feel and Thoughts.......
-==-I felt like I gained a lot more low end power back compared to just the cone filter and gained a little more top end too. Sound is a little deeper and doesn't take much for you to hear the intake for example I can hear the intake at like 2k oppose to before where i wouldn't hear it at all unless I got on it...

I'll try to get some pitures up when my computer is running.

I like mine as well. I seem to get some negative comments from some members who think it is "ghetto" and "cheap". I don't think they would make those comments if they saw mine in person.

Well next thing i'm doing to it is painting it...I think it looks pretty clean...even though it is a little cheaper or something or ghetto, when you actually think about it..It has the same concept as a Short ram or Hybrid....

Just goto search and type in $15 Intake...and it you'll see something like a revised version of the $15 intake...

Ya know, I wanted to try this, but lack the tools, so I ordered the Frankencar mid-pipe. Short story shorter...still waiting . Oh well.

Same here, don't got that time and tools to do it. But instead of Frankencar mid-pipe, I'm going for this one on ebay. The advantage is it bends at an angle and can the right length to fit my Stillen intake.
