New Knock Sensor = 1.2 Meg Ohms ???

Ok, so I got my new sensor and installed this weekend.
I measure the old one before I took it out and it was like 11 k ohms from the sensor to ground. Later on it measured like 2 M ohms, so I figured it was bad because of the different readings. Then I measured the new one and it was 1.2 M Ohms. All of this was done with the car off. I though it new KS was supposed to be about 5.5 Kohms.

Get yourself a Hayes repair manual, it will be your best friend. Sorry but mine is in my car, so I really can't help

According to the '99 FSM, you should be testing resistance from terminal 1 to ground, not terminal 1 to terminal 2. The measurement should be 500-620K ohms.
