Yer I know the date says 2003 ... ****ty work digi camera.

The make year is 1999 September.

One thing. The underside of the wheelarches is all patchy/dirty.. Is it better to match this color with the body (as it sort of is now, or make it black or something? And if so what to use?

You said stock, and that it is a 99. Absolutely stock tail lights and trunk???

Nice.. Wonder if they'd fit a US-spec 99...

Yer they are stock... they look sweet though. Still I would like to get some taillights like the Lexus ls300 (not sure if they have the same models in the US) but the tail lights are chrome inset into clear casing. Like below... thats what i want to get...

Yes it says Maxima on top of the red in the centre. You can see it slightly in that image. Here are two more images... one sort of of the front... Did not get the grill in it. One from the side. Poor image quality the side on one. Will get shots of the grill and front tonight, after work. Thats where I am now

Rave,
Your car looks great! Looks really quite familiar!

Hey, do me a favor. I would like that "30STouring" badge and some of the clear turn signals like you have. The whole taillight panel is nice too, but shipping from down under would be too much. But would you consider checking on a price for that badge and turn signals, and could find out what shipping to the us would be? Let me know!

Again, car looks great! It is almost identical to the US spec Infiniti i30. Looks like you have cloth like I do as well. You have a 5spd too, and a limited slip diffential?

Let me know!!

Thanks for all the nice things you said about my new beast... Only got it yesterday...

I will give Nissan a call down here and find out what the 30STouring Badge and the clear turn lights are worth.

I do have valour trim (I think that how you spell it) and no it is a 4sp Auto.. Very nice to drive and looks sweet! I too really like the rear tail light panel but would like to change the ends of it to Altezza clear lamps... well maybe need to see if it will go with the rest of it...

I have made the enquiry. They claim to be able to have a same day response, but I did not enquire until 4pm so I guess I will here from them in the morning tomorrow. I will let you know soon as I get them... I wanna get some clear side indicators the ones I currently have are damned amber/orange.

I think we need a group deal on the "30TouringS" badges. Shippinga dozen in one box and then distributing them woud be cheaper than him shipping them all around. Just a thought. I would like to have one, if they are not too expensive...

hehe...I wonder if altezzas are unique in the land down under. Here, it's practically more unique to keep your stock tails. I can see it down the road in three years...

"DUDE! Have you seen those red/amber tails they made for the 05 Civics?????????!! WHOA!"

nice ride, btw

My friend who doesn't care about maximas really likes the "a$$" on it. It looks very nice. I can't imagine why you'd want to screw it up. If you mix and match pieces, it would look so ridiculous.

The Nismo S15 clears are a direct swap, only needing a notch on the Maxima connector to be hot knifed off to fit the S15 mount. They're the same dimension and Nissan dealers usually have a few sets in stock.

Jeez, I'd normally advise someone (especially an Aussie) against fitting altezza's, but if you ever want to sell your stock tails give us a yell.

I agree with fst96se in his first reply, this looks exactly like a 4th gen American i30. Same wheels, same front end with a little difference in the bottom trim, kind of looks like a 96-98 Sentra rear end. I definately like the stock trim pieces, I want to know if they fit on my i30.

I do like it though, something different.

Thats not as far fetched as it sounds, my 3rd Gens Auto transmission housing had a small picture of a kangaroo cast into it. 100% true story.

THe car is quite similar to the Infinity I30 here in the US...however, I do like the styling!!

Dude, I'd stray away from the altezza taillamps...I don't think they even make those for the Aussie Maximas / US Infinitis.....

You can see them at Carmate.com.au in the lights section. However the site that it links to at Geocities appears to be down. But these guys will order it no doubt...

I have decided (after all of the good advise that I have heard here) to give up the idea of new tail lights. I think the ones I have look great... and that once I mix and match it will spoil the effect. Best to leave what looks good alone..

Thanks for the input guys!
