Best springs for stock struts

I am about to buy 18's for my car and lower it so it doesnt look dumb. I dont have the money for struts, so INYO, what is the best spring to manage with stock struts.

I HEAR that you can run H&Rs or Maxspeeds , and MAYBE even B&Gs on the stock struts, but don't expect long life out of the struts, especially if you have a lot of miles on them.
