Buying Hanabi HID... 6000k or 8000k?
Anyone with any Hanabi HID experiences... should I get the 6000k or 8000k? What are the differences in light output, color, etc.?
Any feedback would be helpful.
Thanks,
Jeff

8000K are blue in color, 6000K are a mix between white and blue........for looks 8000K looks sweet, for visibility 4100K is the best. the number doesnt refer to brightness, it refers to how hot, which in turn determines the color.

Ask Freddie if he's got any more Crystal White kits left. The 6000K Blue are to blue for me as well. The Crystal White has a purplish tint to it and are way brighter then the blue ones. They light up everything really nice!
Is it quality control or are there many different bulbs out there? Although when first turned on, they are blue/green, they eventually become almost pure white with only the slightest hint of blue (after warming up about 5 minutes). You guys are saying your 6000k hanabi's are really blue? BTW, this is the replacement bulb set I am talking about since the first did not match. The first set though had one bulb that was mainly pure white (like mine now), and one that was clearly blue-tinged, even after 30 minutes of operation.
Since we're on HIDs has anyone bought bulbs from anyone besides Freddie? I searched for Phillips/Osram D2R bulbs and there are barely any returns. I just picked up a 4300K Phillips kit with Phillips Ballasts and Osram bulbs (D2R made in Germany). It would be great to find somewhere we can reliably buy bulbs at a decent price should the need arise.
Also after reading about HIDs is it correct that all D2R bulbs fit with our kits?

OK, I just dug up the bulb box and it says "Super White." But that is what the sticker on the original kit box says too so I'm assuming they are the same type of bulbs that came with the original "blue" kit that I have.
