No, we don't know who "you" are. Care to elaborate?

The oste was pointed, in general, to the moderators move of my last post.

I posted on here (4th Gen) a few minutes ago and made a plea to the moderator to leave the post here for a few hours before moving it to "dealership experiences"...primarily because I have not yet HAD the experience given the fact that the retailers do not respond to correspondence. I even titled the section "Moderators:", but it was moved within 2 minutes of the post. It is not like bandwidth is that precious here in the 4th gens that it could not have stayed for a few hours...I have been trying to ciontact the retailers for over a week.

I really HATE b!+ching on here, but I have been on other forums where a request like that would have been honored, at least for a few hours, so long as it was not related to street-racing, or was not so clearly OT that it obviously belonged elsewhere. Also, a brief viewing of the dealership experiences page would reveal that I am not the only one having this problem.

Beside that fact, the "Frankencar Update" thread was here for days and noone moved it. Why? Because it was related to 4th generation matters, just like my need for an MAF adapter is related to modding my 4th Gen Maxima. I have posted in other forums, but until customer service reputations are threatened, it seems like noone gets a response from some sellers. I want to maintain a good relationship with the .org and with sellers on the .org, but situations like this strain patience.

1) PMs/Emails work better than grandstanding and posting in the forums and airing it out where everyone can see.

2) Us moderators aren't here 24/7 and cannot move threads immediately. See the "Report this post to a moderator" link under each post? If members would actually start using that, maybe we could keep track of which threads should belong in what forums. Start policing and moderatoring your fellow members and maybe it'll be more enjoyable for everyone.

3) Double posting is frowned upon. Many times it leads to two different conversations in two different places with the same information in both threads. You could have posted the link in your post in the 4th gen pointing to the thread in the Dealership Forum.

4) I usually check if people double post. I didn't do it this time. Oops ... sorry, I guess it's my fault I'm human. I also usually skim over posts that don't particularly pertain to me. I skimmed over your post and thought it would be better suited for the Dealership Forum. I didn't read it all the way through. Oops ... sorry again for being human and making a mistake.

5) PMs/Emails work. Try using that next time instead of at what you think happened and what goes on inside a moderator's head. Usually, grandstanding just makes you look like an a$$.

I DID email and PM both. I also called. None of thse methods were even remotely met with success. Like I said in my initial post, I was not trying to air dirty laundry- I just want a response. I STILL want to purchase a product from one of these merchants. I am not the only one having a problem, but I UNDERSTAND that people get busy. I just want a reply. My only actual gripe about their customer service is the public proclimation by frankencar reps that they can sell me the part that I need (posted on the for sale forum) followed by NO method of actually ordering the product. My email is registeed, my PMs are enabled...contact ME, instead of claiming to be able to provide the product but not being able to follow up.

I do not see the relevance of this remark, unless you think that I was griping that the "fnankencar update" post was not moved. I thouught it was relevant, and saw no problem with it being here. To be honest, I think that you moderators do a good job overall. You are fairly consistent. My gripe was that "you" (I do not knwo which moderator actually moved it, so I use "you" in a general sense here) moved it when I specifically asked that it be left for a few hours.

I did not realize that the post there had actually been posted to the org. I got an error message due to over-useage (too many users accessing), so I posted it in the 4th gen forum, which, by the way, was where I had meant to post it in the first place...I have deleated the erronious double-post.

See above. Also, your appology is accepted. Like i said before, I think that you guys do a good job, I was just miffed about moving it in spite of my plea to leave it here. If you missed that part, so be it. No real harm done. If I was wrong to have posted here in the first place, that is my mistake.

If you meant that I should have PMmed or emailed you, you may well be correct. But that is why I did not attatch a name or complaint to this post. The person who it was aimed at (though possibly mistakenly aimed at) would get the message. I did not know who moved the post, so I just titled it generally...

By the way, here is a link to my post (now) in the dealership experiences forum.
