I was thinking about goin from my auto to a 5-speed. I don't know much about carsyet. What am i goin to gain or loose if i do this. I have a 95' GLE

you wont really loose much, except 2grand. but you will gain: 4tenths on your times (assuming you can drive) better gas milage, tranny will last longer, it sounds better to say "i have a 5speed max" and you will also gain a short temper for traffic but i think might do this mod this summer, or boost my car we will see, maybe even sooner. you dont have anymods yet though, so if you dont have a lot of money laying around get a y-pipe, CAI, exhaust and you can run with most 5speeds

 

Now that's some damn good analysis. My car will be looking like yours soon (drop with steelies).
