Great news about people who want to purchace a MEVI

Just wanted to let all the people that are interested in the MEVI/VIM that my contact is now accepting 50% now and 50% on week before shippment goes out. But, just thought I let all those that were interested and wondering if I was able to do the 50 50, and I told I was working on it and that it is now possible. Will be starting a new post with the details in the Group Deal area tomorrow but just wanted to give you guys the heads up. Just want to help my the VIM more avialable to the Maxima family.

That is why I've been working with him for months to try to get this worked out. I think the fact that I've order more than 20 VI's has also helped. But, I know how hard it is to just shell out like ~$600 an not have anything to show for it for 4-8 weeks. I think this should help more people get the VI on the .org.

I will be posting the new post in Group Deal later on today or tomorrow. When I have time to type it up.

I thought i would be ordering this thing sometime at the begining of next year, but with this just said, my MEVI might be here a lot sooner than later.

You'll be hearing from me when I can get my paycheck to the bank!!! Just for clarification... this would mean ~$300 or so up front and another ~$300 or so 4 weeks from then, correct?

Your not bypassing your cat or anything. Plus all this does is shorten your runner so you can increase HP through the upper RPM range. So, I don't see how this could effect your emmissions at all. But not totally positive.

dam, now that u break it down like that (300 now and 300 in a month) it actually sounds not that expensive. My only concern is that i have NO IDEA how to install something like this and i don't recall anyone from northeast having this (NJ, Pennsyl, NY)....anyone from this region have a VI?

That is exactly what I am thinking. I have installed all my mods but this seems like a bit of an undertaking. I have read the directions posted and it looks like a full 2 day job(for me that is). I wish someone in my area installed one.
Also having to fix my tranny leak & clutch is getting in the way.

Well there is someone that has got one in NY.

But, not to sure if he would help. But, it is actually really straight forward on hooking up the VI. The only thing that might be a little difficult is doing the wiring if your not to handy with wiring but it isn't too difficult at all. It is just getting started. And the other thing is that once you get the VIM on you can drive you car around without having the RPM switch and dawes device hooked up. So, if you aren't sure about the wiring you won't be without a car you just won't have the VI working properly.

All you have to do is take of the maxima collector and put on the VIM and reconnect the throttle body, EGR, and eVap back to the VIM and your all set . Takes about 2-4 hours to do that yourself. If you have dropped your tranny or replaced your starter or alternator...your not going to have any problems doing this.

Just my thoughts,
-John
