answers:
1) Yes the AGX's are great struts. I would consider them to be the "best" for their type, although for a higher cost there are the Tokico Illuminas and the Koni Yellows.
2) Unless your old dustboots are torn, you do not need new ones. I would suggest changing the strut bearings (a white plastic disc) when you do the suspension though
3) H&R are great, I recommend them very highly.
The H&R/AGX combo is perfect. You will not be dissapointed with it.

Dust boots and strut bearing, just get the Nissan OEM parts (dealer). As for lower, remember, the lower you go, the lousier the ride. I already think the H&R/AGX combo is kind of harsh, and this is the most "comfortable" combo you can have. I like the look of my car with H&R's...gives it the BMW sport package "low".

I never said they are better. But since I do have personal experience with the Konis or Illuminas, I can't say they aren't as good as the AGX's.
I think the extra work needed to fit the Konis is reason enough to avoid them, and unless you need the wider range of settings the front Illuminas have, the AGX's are a better value.
