I'm tired of seeing these things jump all over the place. Before I go ahead and disassemble everything, what is the best way to keep my indiglo gauge needles from sticking?

Man, I feel sorry for all these people having touble with their needles sticking from indiglo installs. Luckily, I work in an environment where I work with laminates and wood. We use this special two sided tape for setups. It's only about 1/64" thick and is strong as hell especially when bonding two flat surfaces. It's only sold for industrial use, but I think they should market it. The only thing, though, it's about $50.00-$60.00 a roll! I used these on my indiglos, and I know I won't have a problem (Hmmmmm, maybe I should start marketing this tape?). But, anyway, I feel your pain Sidewinder. Maybe put small,flat spots of epoxy glue around the edges of the gauges so that it lies flat without any protrusions? The only problem with this, though, (I think) is that when the interior of the car gets hot, the glue may "melt" causing other problems. But, it's a suggestion. Sorry, and good luck!

 

i just put my reverse indiglos in the other day and used some crazy glue in the corners of each guage. not alot just like a Zit size dob. tri it maybe it will work.. seamed to work fine for me...
