On May 1 my CEL came on and the dealer charged me $40 to tell me it was the speed sensor going bad - had him reset it and just waited for the sensor to die before replacing it. Since then the CEL has come on every 40 days or so. Everytime it was the speed sensor (thanks to AutoZone I downnloaded the code for free instead of fattening the bottomline of the nissan dealer) - well after around 2 months (since the last reset) the CEL is on again and I have moved to Canada with no Autozones and no free code download - can you guys tell me if the reset CEL just comes on after a specified period of time (if the problem has not been fixed). I am worried it maybe something else other than the speed sensor since it took 20 days more than usual for the CEL to be come on this time around. Sorry if this is a confusing post but I am student with limited budget and hence its hard to fork over $50 Canandian dollars to get a diagnosis done. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks
