I don't think there is really any special proof the the 95-96 is faster...

I agree with Nealoc187 and add that:

Mods give a car more HP and Torque
Drivers make a maxima run faster 1/4 times

I wish my car was still fast but my maxima is getting up in miles and I only run mid 14s now.. I plan to tune it up this winter and try to get some of my performance back. I'm enjoying autoX much more these days.

 

lets get the mileage on some of these cars...for some reason I think VQ's with more miles are faster, when the are properly tuned up that is. Warren (veetec) is an awesome driver, but his car also had over 120,000 miles on it at the time he ran a 14.7 stock. If he still had it, that car had a 14.2 in it with only 3 mods, but his flex pipe was messed up. I think I remember Neal saying that he had alot of miles too. Ben (mzmtg) ran a 15.2 in his stock auto and it has alot of miles on it as well. Maybe with build-up we have an 11 to 1 CR with lots of miles. It just a theory of mine.
