Not so smooth & MIL is On

Hi,

I have a 95 Maxima GLE 64K which I bought used. Its my first car and I don't know much about them. I absolutely loved the way the car ran when I took it home. It ran really smooth and responded great to acceleration. Exactly a month ago and a month after I bought it, I gave it to my local Maxima dealer(Ted Russel Nissan, Knoxville,TN) and got 60K service done on it. Got new tires(Potenza 950) new brake pads and resurfaced rotors(F & B) spent $1500 in all..they said it needed the new parts...yes I know I probably got ripped off..wish I came across this site before I did!.anyway I got it home, it felt rougher(the accelerator pedal felt smooth before), more road noise, doesn't accelerate as well and it simply felt like a different car. The dealer said the road noise is because of the new tires. Is that true?
NEW PROBLEM: A couple of days ago the Engine light came on and I have checked the fuel cap, its tight. I called the dealer and he said if the O2 sensors are gone they need to be replaced. I don't want to get ripped off anymore ... and since I don't know anything about cars I am turning to you guys, the gurus, for help. What should I do next. I am new to this country and don't know anyone who can recommend a mechanic. Could this check light be a serious problem? What can I do to make it run smoother? My goal is to stop getting ripped off and be happy again with my maxima... love the car. I don't want to pose a specific question because I absolutely have no idea and any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks
