problems starting up
ok i have a 98 max and my car has problems starting. but when the car is running everything seems to be normal. i have a stereo with cap can my battery be drained after a year? also does anyone know what i can do about my windows going down so slow and off track it keeps rubbing up on the rubber.

Does the car have dim lights when you first get in to it... stuff like that. As for the windows, spray some silicone lube on the rails and it should help them out a bit |

test your battery first, dont go changing the starter right away. If the starter is actually starting the car then its mostly ok unless it has dead spots (thats why people tell you to hit it hard with a hammer) Change your bettery first. A starter from Nissan can cost you 200 dollars

if you have a voltmeter you can measure voltage at your battery posts when you are cranking you should have at least 9.6 volts. if you have any less you will need to replace your battery. dont hit the starter with a hammer, you used to be able to do that in the 70's but you cant do that with todays starters. they are too fragile

ok thank you everyone im going to run to the auto store tomorrow and check if its my battery
