Has anyone considered this hoodscoop for a Maxima from the European Supra?

Here's the link:

It looks to be a $250 part. The design is clean and would probably look very good with the 4th gens round lines. I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I would love to have a fully functional hood scoop right over the air intake. Like the one on the blue Maxima from F&F.

it looks a little small for the max, but after reading the notes section, I'm all about getting it.

Notes: I dyno tested my scoop. It neted 364 extra hp

Quoted from the bottom of the page....

This mod gave me approximately 350 extra hp to the wheels and I expect to run low 9s at 160 mph now.

This has to be a type-o. Perhaps the "0" at the end shouldn't be there?

I think that was a joke.

I'm pretty sure they were joking about the gains. I think they were poking fun at the Honda crowd with that statement.

The scoop is very subtle (very low) and looks to be just the right size for the Maxima. The rake of the Maxima hood looks very similiar to that of the Supra hood where the scoop mounts. The only problem I see is that this scoop won't be functional in terms of pushing air into the intake if you have the VI. The reason I say this is because the top of the VI's resonance chamber sits very close to the hood and right below where this scoop would open. It appears the scoop on the Supra isn't functional either. It looks to be more of a style enhancement and possibly a path at which to funnel more air around the engine to keep it cooler. I'm all for the that. I might get this scoop instead of getting the Cefiro chrome mirror covers.
